Terms and Conditions
In booking an event Clients are deemed to agree with the following Terms and Conditions.  Please contact Marshall Cale (MC) for any clarification.  

When an event is organised for a Meetup Group (see Meetup.com)  the Terms and Conditions of the Meetup group will apply.

1.   Fees, Reservations & Deposits 
1.1 VAT does not apply to event fees.  
1.2 Initial reservations can be made by phone, in writing or by email.  
1.3 Following the initial reservation a deposit of 50% of the agreed fee is required to confirm the booking 
1.4 The balance of the fee is payable 4 weeks before the event. 
1.5 Bank details for transfer are available on request.  


2.   Cancellation by Client 
2.1 Cancellations may be by phone, in writing or email.  
2.2 Where a cancellation is made at least 4 weeks before start of the event  a full refund of any deposit will be made.  
2.3 Where a cancellation is received less than 4 weeks before commencement refunds will be at MC's discretion.  

3.   Transfers 
3.1 A client may transfer his/her booking to another person after agreement with MC. 
3.2 A client may change to another event (subject to availability) providing he/she notifies MC of this at least 4 weeks

      before the start of the original event  

4.   Cancellation or Modification of Course by MC 
4.1 Whilst every attempt is made to ensure that events actually run, MC reserves the right to modify the 
event when

      conditions are likely to be dangerous or unsuitable.  
4.2 When such a modification is not possible, MC will notify the client of cancellation as soon as practicable. 
4.3 In the event of cancellation, clients will be offered the choice of (a) a full refund of fees paid or (b) another event on
      different dates.  
4.4 MC is not responsible for any travel or accommodation costs incurred.  

5.   Health, Fitness and Equipment Issues 
5.1 Clients should be aware that events will involve walking over rough, sometimes steep terrain, for a number of miles in
      varying weather conditions. Each client should satisfy him/herself that he/she is sufficiently fit, and in possession of the
      appropriate clothes and equipment. Detailed advice is available on request.

5.2 Pregnancy.  If a client is pregnant it is necessary for her to provide a Doctor's note to confirm that she is able to safely

      carry out hillwalking activity.  Full  detail of the activity is available on request to MC.
